The approval process Public Relations is responsible for the university's promotional communication, ensuring consistency of information and style. We are also responsible for ensuring that external publications follow approval procedures, so that information about CSU:
Materials that require approval Publications that are prepared for distribution to any external audience, whether on- or off-campus, require approval if:
Publications co-sponsored by CSU and other groups require approval as well, even if such publications are not paid for by university funds. Reprints of existing jobs, unless done within the same academic year, must also be submitted for approval, even if only minor changes are anticipated. "External audience" refers to any public group, often including alumni and currently enrolled students. "Internal audience" refers to CSU faculty, administration and staff. Materials subject to approval may include:
Materials that do not require approval No approval is required for any publication that is strictly for distribution to an internal audience. Student publications, such as the student newspaper and notices of student activities, do not require approval. However, any usage of the university logos must conform to the institutional identity program. Materials not subject to approval include:
